Rejected petition Brexit. Define it. Do it right or don't do it at all. People's Vote

Informed consent - a legal position meaning understanding what you are agreeing to. Brexit - a 3 year old term, the definition of which has varied greatly.

The 'Will of the People' can only be confirmed with a confirmatory vote after parliament have agreed what Brexit ultimately means.

More details

Indicative votes bring parliament closer to a consensus on the meaning of Brexit. Parliament must find a resolution to Brexit that is comparable or preferable to the status quo. Making decisions on constitutional change in haste and under pressure and without full consideration of the costs and benefits would be a dereliction of duty. If no majority can be found the options with most Parliamentary support should be the ballot option alongside remain to determine the informed will of the people.
