Petition Increase the speeds of child car seat testing to national speed limit.

Currently the laws for child car seat testing stand at 30mph frontal and 18mph rearward for R44/03 & R44/04 and 34mph frontal and 18mph rearward for R129 (i-size). It has been shown many times that a car seat that has passed this testing will FAIL in a higher impact crash.

With the national speed limit at a high of 70mph on motoways it isn’t in the safety of our children for the car seats to only be tested to a maximum of 34mph. This does not highlight the impact that would happen at a high speed crash on the motorway which is how most people travel these days.
