Rejected petition Waiver all ULEZ/LEZ charges to Emergency Vehicles
As of 8th April 2019, the new ULEZ comes into force in London, exempting very few. One of the many casualties is our frontline services, who provide life saving assistance. Whilst an extension is in place, it’s time to call a complete end to any charges to any vehicle on NHS, Police or Fire duties.

With this in mind, a non-emergency service, black cabs have been given total exemption. How is this justifiable, in a state where our frontline emergency services already suffer a huge budget deficit.
“The new ‘ultra low emission zone’, which comes into force on April 8, 2019, will apply to ambulances, fire engines and police cars – meaning they will have to pay a £12.50 round-the-clock charge, and spend millions replacing their older vehicles. - Metro“
