Closed petition Offer incentivised knife-amnesty programmes to reduce knife crime
Closed on
Knife crime is on the increase in London, with no signs of slowing down.
It is proposed that there is are incentivised knife amnesty programmes that allow young people to trade knives in for rewards such as vouchers, trainers, video games, etc.
Knife amnesty programmes are already making a difference with taking more than 50,000 weapons off the street:

We could probably get more knives off the street by incentivising young people to hand in their weapons.
