Rejected petition Disallow Huawei from supplying any infrastructure for the UK 5G build out

The UK govt has indicated its intention to allow Huawei to supply antennae and other 'non-core' infrastructure as part of the UK's 5G buildout. This is despite the wishes/recommendations/warnings of our allies, including the US. Huawei should not supplying any UK 5G components

More details

The US, New Zealand and Australia have all taken a hard line on preventing Huawei involvement and infrastructure in 5G network roll out. The EU has empowered member states in conducting their own assessments. The UK should follow the example of the US/NZ and Aus and not allow the possibility of Chinese state intervention on any 5G infrastructure, either through direct or indirect intervention. If the UK govt's decision is driven by potential trade agreements with China, we should think again.
