Petition Get the 'Duty to Rescue Law' introduced into UK Law.

To mark a year since the tragic and sudden death of my husband, Adam Lovatt, I have set up a Campaign that has the potential to save lives in the future.

One of the main goals of the Campaign is to get the 'Duty to Rescue Law' introduced into UK Law.

More details

Incredibly there is no 'Duty to Rescue Law' in the UK.

Simply put, this means that UK citizens can watch a Person drown or be seriously injured and NOT be held legally accountable for ‘Doing Nothing’, not even for failing to call emergency services.

A duty to rescue is a concept in tort law that arises, describing a circumstance in which a party can be held liable for failing to come to the rescue of another party who could face potential injury or death without being rescued. (Wikipedia)
