Rejected petition Free Period Products for all on Low & No Income . Abolish Period Poverty

Women are having to make a choice on either buying food or buying period products (PP) .In this day and age it should not be such a degrading choice for a woman to make . This is NOT a 3rd world country.
The government must give those in need free period products and abolish Period Poverty .

There is factual evidence by a documentary online The Guardian which highlights this issue .
As I reiterate ,this is not a 3rd world country .Women should never have to make a choice when it's a basic human right to protect oneself hygienically from a natural monthly process .
To worry over whether to buy sanitary products or food must be an unthinkable choice .Both are very basic needs .
I urge the government to consider a way for free sanitary products to be given out to all who need them .
