Closed petition Any CCJ issued by HMCTS should be paid to the claimant by HM Treasury
Closed on
Any County Court Judgement issued by HM Courts & Tribunals Service should be paid to the claimant by HM Treasury (unless the defendant pays in full within 28 days of judgement).
Should the court arrange a payment plan with the defendant then this should be between them and the defendant should make payments directly to the treaury. The claimant should be paid in full by the treasury 28 days after judgement.
There are so many cases where individuals and businesses obtain CCJs against debtors, go through further costs with baliffs etc, only to receive nothing. I feel that should the debt be 'bought' by HM Treasury they would be more active/successful in recovering it.
