The BBC is government owned and gets funded by tax payers, the TV license fee is nothing more than an additional tax.
Privatise the BBC so that they fund themselves. Let consumers choose whether they want to pay for BBC services through pay per view or put adverts on as per commercial broadcasters i.e. get rid of the TV license fee
