The purpose of this petition is threefold:
1. We, the Congolese community in the UK, want the British government to recognise Mr Tshisekedi as the true winner of the presidential elections.
2. We want to see the UK take a leading role that reflects her influence in the politics of the great lakes region, during these conflicts, and all the way through to their resolution.
3. We call for a real debate in parliament as to why the UK government has remained silent over the issue of DRC elections, and why all the activities by the Congolese community in UK, in relation to this issue, have not attracted media attention as has been the case with other nations.
