Petition Repeal the Vagrancy Act 1824

The Vagrancy Act of 1824 makes it an offence to sleep rough or beg.
It is a barbaric, archaic law that criminalises the very existence of those homeless forced to take to the streets of beg for survival.
Scotland & Ireland removed this outdated law decades ago-England and Wales must follow them.

More details

Ending Homelessness is supported by all political Parties-yet still in the last few years, people have been arrested for blatantly trivial reasons, such as taking food, past it's sell-by-date from outside supermarkets.
This is a Humanitarian crisis, criminalising homeless people is a National disgrace.
