Rejected petition Government to recognise ethnic English, Scottish and Welsh people as Indigenous.
We demand protection as Indigenous Peoples of Britain. Our DNA can be traced as ethnic English, Welsh and Scottish. We have lived in Britain for over 2,000 years, longer than some Indigenous People recognised by the United Nations. We demand the recognition and protection of the British Government.

This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to recognise and protect specific groups of people. Discrimination on the grounds of ethnicity, nationality or national orgins is alraedy against the law

We're also not sure what you mean by indigenous people. The United Nations definition is groups that "have retained social, cultural, economic and political characteristics that are distinct from those of the dominant societies in which they live."

We're not sure how this applies to English, Scottish and Welsh People.
