Closed petition Homosexuals to have the same rights as Heterosexuals when giving Blood

Closed on

For many years Gay men have faced discrimination when donating blood, previously banning us for life from donating blood to more recent rules of being celibate for a period of time before we can donate blood.

If all blood is screened before being donated then these out dated laws are no longer required. Also with the rise of unprotected promiscuous sex in heterosexuals then they are also at risk of contracting blood disorders which have previously prevented gay men from donating.

I believe everyone should be treated fairly and not ruled out of donating due to sexual orientation.
