I have friends in the emergency services who have suffered injuries whilst on duty and serving their community protecting and helping the community

Watching a BBC programme ‘Critical Incident’ where emergency services personnel recall horrific situations where they have been physically injured and mentally traumatised and the offenders are ‘treated in kid gloves’ because the judicial system is tied down in what sentences they can give. Reminds me of friends in the emergency services who have been injured and how it effects them and their families and colleagues greatly.
