Rejected petition Stop the prosecution of medical cannabis users who grow their own medicine

Nobody with a medical need should be prosecuted for growing for their own medicine.
A private prescription for raw cannabis flowers costs over £1000 a month, the public cannot afford this and it should be provided on the NHS, stop prosecuting those growing medicine for personal use.

More details

Please stop prosecutions of medical cannabis users in the UK since they changed the law in November 2018, those who should be entitled to a NHS prescription, but are forced to get into debt or crowd fund in an effort to get a private prescription to remain well should be exempt from prosecution for a personal grow for their own private use, that have harmed no person. We appeal to the government to give medically proven cannabis users rights to grow their own medicine until NHS make it available

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

We can only accept petitions which call for actions that are the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Prosecutions are the responsibility of the police, Crown Prosecution Service and the courts, which are independent of the Government and Parliament.

There's already a petitioning about allowing people to grow cannabis for their own use, including medicinal use, which you might like to sign. You're more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
