Rejected petition Change the system so that we can easily get access to anti-parasitic medicine.

British residents only have access to mebendazole, which is inadequate for strongyloides & hookworm (which can be fatal). According to experts, medicine should be prescribed on the basis of travel history & symptoms, but British doctors are refusing to give medicine without a clinical test result.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand you're concerned about access to anti-parasitic medicines, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. In particular, we're not exactly sure how you'd like to change the system or which medicines you want to be made more readily available.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, a petition calling for increased funding for a particular medicine/s on the NHS.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
