Rejected petition Respect my religious beliefs with regards to religious slaughter.

The government ‘respects’ the rights of the Jewish and Muslim communities with regard to their religious beliefs on slaughter and permits the slaughter of animals without a stun or a pre-stun. It also permits the Muslim slaughter man to say the Bismillah which Islam requires for the meat to be halal

More details

Many religions including Christianity are not permitted to consume meat/poultry from a religiously slaughtered carcass. The government ‘respects’ the religious beliefs of Jews and Muslims but ignore mine! Government states that “Religiously slaughtered meat is for consumption by Jews or Muslims”. The FSA and DEFRA go on to say that this meat is allowed to enter the food chain unlabelled. I object to this practice. What about my religious beliefs my human rights and also the rights of animals?
