Closed Make it a criminal offence for MPs to deliberately mislead the general public.

A new law needs to be created and passed to make it a criminal offence for MPs to deliberately lie in public whether it be on social media, during interviews on television or radio etc. This should not just be restricted to General Elections and Referendums.

It’s quite clear that at the moment there is no way for us, the voting public, to be able to hold MPs accountable when they knowingly lie. This needs to be changed and a new law passed so we can hold MPs accountable. This is needed following the recent events.
