This petition was submitted during the 2017–2019 Conservative government

Rejected petition We the undersigned , refuse to have another referendum on exiting the EU .

We the undersigned, refuse to be forced into partaking in a secondary referendum on exiting the EU.
The referendum of 2016 was , we were told " a once in a lifetime decision " by our Prime Minister , and as such should therefore be respected and upheld .

More details

David Cameron PM informed the electorate that the 2016 referendum result would be implemented and acted upon , and that our decision would be final .
To force us into another referendum after a 3 year delay on implementation of first one is a miscarriage of our democratic history and heritage .
We refuse to partake in yet another referendum of same substance without first one being honoured in the hope it may result in a different outcome .
This is not how democracy works .

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you want the Government or Parliament to do, or not do, for example not to hold another EU referendum.

There are already petitions about the UK leaving the EU on 31 October 2019. You might like to sign one of these petitions if it calls for something you'd like to happen. You're more likely to get action on this if you sign and share a single petition.
