Rejected petition Stop culling badgers.

Badger culling is ineffective - rates of TB in cattle went up by 130% in key cull areas in 2018. It's also immensely cruel, at least 9k badgers took more than 5 minutes to die in the last cull. Furthermore, with 63,000 badgers due to killed in the current cull, we're pushing them to extinction.

More details

Despite the fact that TB rates in cattle have increased in the areas of the 2018 cull, it's been expanded to cover 11 more areas and kill 50% more badgers.

A government-appointed review led by Sir Charles Godfray said that TB transmission was greater from cattle to cattle and that farmers should do more to prevent the spread.
