Rejected petition Government to raise the state pension to the same as the minimum living wage

The Government minimum living wage for over 25 years of age £8.21 per hour, £16009 a year. The State Pension is £167 per week £8684, difference of £7325. The State Pension needs to be raised to the match the minimum living wage. You have the same bills in retirement as you have working.

I am retired my household cost have not decreased. As I get older my household costs will increase, as I start to be unable to maintain my home, I will have to start paying for tradesmen to to things I would do, maintain and decorate my home, maintain my garden
