Introduce legislation to ensure companies send the employee's parts of the HMRC P45 on leaving employment to the employee within 7 days. Current legislation does not require a time limit, leaving the employee to chase thier former employer for their P45.
In today's electronic payroll environment & availability of online filing to employer's, employee's should not suffer undue delay.
