Councils need to ban woodburning stoves until a study is undertaken to evaluate the risks to health from these instalations.
If this is not achieveable the council needs to take a more pro-active role to ensure that woodburning stoves are installed properly,meeting Building Reg's and a observed working.Both Planning and Environmental Health need to be involved.

The government should instruct local planning and environmental health departments to work together to form a cohesive policy on the above matter.
