Closed Increase politicians pay but totally remove any allowances

Despite the expenses scandal MP's are still routinely claiming £100,000 a year in expenses on top of their salaries.

I propose that MP's salaries are increased by, say, £20,000 and that all allowances are removed. This removes the temptation to falsify claims or spend where it is not necessary and should save the taxpayer quite a substantial amount seeing as we are all in this together.
