There are concerns about the environmental and health impacts of wind turbines, including destruction of woodland and countryside, and risks to animals and birds not to mention humans.
Germany has restricted building wind farms on land, and there are many websites which detail damage by wind turbines, and argue that they do not stop carbon depletion and are not cost effective. Stopthesethings website and European Platform against windfarms are two examples.
