Boris Johnson is considering taking the BBC’s licence fee away.

The prime minister suggested the licence fee could no longer be justified when other media organisations have found other ways of funding themselves.

The BBC is not comparable to Amazon Prime, Netflix etc. and provides much more.

The BBC is a national institution, that relies on the license fee to produce high-quality, informative content. Removing the licence fee will limit the BBC's capability to continue doing so, and will have a direct impact on the content available.
