Government should support construction of Manchester Piccadilly platforms 15/16 and associated Castlefield Corridor Improvements. Support & Funding should be given to Network Rail immediately to resolve severe congestion.

Manchester Piccadilly platforms 13/14 and the Castlefield Corridor, including Deansgate and Oxford Road, which have been classed as 'congested' by Network Rail. Manchester Oxford Road suffers the most delays in the country, 73% of services are delayed/cancelled. Plans to resolve it were drawn up, before funding was cut by government.
