Rejected petition Covid-19 Emergency: Pause Brexit to Protect Britain

Covid-19 is an unprecedented threat to the lives of UK citizens and the UK economy. Beating it will require the PM and government's undivided attention. We cannot afford distractions. Lives are at stake.

We, the undersigned, therefore call on the government to pause Brexit immediately.

More details

Pausing Brexit negotiations & preparations will:

- enable the government to focus all of its time, energy and resources on coordinating a response to the deadly Covid-19 pandemic

- ensure the UK remains part of the European Medicines Agency so that we can work effectively with our European partners and gain prompt access to the Covid-19 vaccine

Beating Covid-19 must be our top priority. Please pause Brexit now. Focus all of our resources on protecting Britain. Lives depend on it.
