Closed petition Create a new Bank Holiday in recognition of the NHS and all its amazing workers.

I would love to see the government create a new public Bank Holiday - NHS Appreciation Day - to acknowledge all workers affiliated with the NHS.

In the adverse times that we face as a nation, NHS workers are the front-line individuals, keeping us safe and working hard to treat and save our sick in the most testing of environments. They are putting their own health at risk and are working tirelessly, away from their family and friends. When this crisis is over, we simply must find a way to express our appreciation in a celebration of all that they do. A Bank Holiday would be a time for the nation to raise up these amazing individuals.
