Rejected petition All health care workers should be allowed to get the covid 19 test

I work in domiciliary care. This is already the time of year that people develop colds that would usually work through it, in order to ensure all of our vulnerable customers receive the care they need.

So now if we even have a slight cough we are to self isolate with no testing?

Self isolating means domiciliary companies will have to decide which customers need the care the most due to short staff when it could be avoided?
I think all health care workers with any mild
symptoms should be allowed to have the test so that people can still work and provide the care that is needed for people in their own homes.

Testing carers = less staff off work = customers still receiving their care = less strain on others such as NHS that would need to help people without home care.
