Closed Extend rights to publicly funded care during coronavirus outbreak

At present many people with care needs are not entitled to local authority provided care or financial assistance from their local authority for care if they have capital, including a home, above a certain limit.

To help people who may urgently need to move into care, the Government should extend the right to care and financial assistance for care to everyone with care needs, irrespective of their capital.
