Rejected petition Temporary workers/agency workers should qualify for statutory sick pay

I want the government to ensure that the citizens in the UK that earn a living through temporary employment with recruitment agencies are afforded the right to statutory sick pay to at least have the basic means to survive

I want the government to do it, because so far in this crazy time the government have looked after the employed and also self employed people (sub contractors) by the offer of statutory sick pay, however nothing has been said about the temporary worker, the government seems to have forgotten that large companies across all industries make up there work force with temporary workers through recruitment agencies, and so far nothing has been done to ensure their basic survival.

Casual and agency workers are treated as employees so can qualify for Staturoy Sick Pay, provided the qualifying conditions are met.
