Due to the current unprecedented situation at the moment regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, University students across the UK should be able to stop paying rent for the rest of the academic year.

Across the UK, University students have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and have moved home due to Universities terms cut short. Therefore, leaving student housing and halls of residence empty for the rest of the year, yet still having to pay rent on a property that lies empty. Please help students across the country in a time like this where our jobs have been cut and parents impacted who may be supporting us.

Suspending payments or providing refunds for tuition fees and rent are a matter for individual universities and landlords, and not the UK Government or Parliament.
