Health and safety in schools is a matter for individual schools and the Health and Safety Executive.

The Government has published guidance on implementing social distancing in education and childcare settings, which recommends regular handwashing, or using hand sanitiser if soap is not available: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-implementing-social-distancing-in-education-and-childcare-settings/coronavirus-covid-19-implementing-social-distancing-in-education-and-childcare-settings

We have published a petition calling on the Government to provide free hand sanitisers to everyone, which you might like to sign: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/300758
