Start a National Service for the NHS. Serve 1 year working for the NHS after leaving school.
Teach life saving and other medical skills.
This could attract potential school leavers to stay on and pursue a career in health care.
In a medical emergency they could be called on to back fill NHS.

Look at how COVID 19 has affected the NHS. We need a National response to future medical emergencies like this.
