Closed Increase salaries for Prison Officers & Police for the sheer work put in

The salaries of MPs continue to increase a significant amount while leaving the front-line services borderline destitute. The police and prison staff have had their wage increased from roughly 19k to 23k over 5 years. MP's salaries roughly 79k.

The recent issue with COVID has put these services in the spotlight as being the services that help keep our country under control. The pay increases for these roles over 5 years do not reflect the work they do on a daily basis, the issues they handle can change or ruin lives. There is every reason to thank these services with a significant wage review to reflect the work done.
