Rejected petition NHS Bank Staff to be paid pro rate if off sick
NHS Bank Staff on zero hours contract who cannot work due to the corona virus should be paid 80% of their wages based on their previous years earnings i.e.2018 to 2019 as shown on their P60 - this should not be less than Universal Credit pay
More details
NHS Bank staff are currently at high risk of catching the corona virus and being off work, and this would in many cases mean financial difficulty. In times of this Pandemic they are amongst the most important human resource in the world and the workers on zero hours need financial protection. Therefore Government should make provision to look after them. It would also be appreciated if there off sick pay in future could be sufficient to support them due to sickness too.
