Closed Create a way for the public to donate money to help pay the COVID-19 deficit

Many UK citizens with good incomes or substantial wealth can contribute to the COVID-19 effort and thus reduce the debt burden. The government should create a simple mechanism so that UK taxpayers in a position to help can donate money to help pay the national debt.

The UK Government took unprecedented action to protect the incomes of millions of UK citizens. High levels of government borrowing are needed to fund the Worker Retention Programme and the Self-Employed Worker Grant.

Those who wish to help should have the possibility to "Crowd Fund Your Country."

Some can offer a little so that no one should have to suffer a lot.
