Rejected petition Add terminally ill &permanently housebound to extremely vulnerable COVID-19 list
The list of those extremely vulnerable to the coronavirus is being used to prioritise supermarket & medication deliveries but excludes many extremely ill people. GPs records state who is permanently housebound & they are now being denied food deliveries. COVID-19 is a major risk, so is starvation.
More details
Covid-19 demands on deliveries mean those who physically can't get their own food & medication will die or need avoidable hospital admissions. NICE's COVID-19 pathway recognizes them as seriously ill & unlikely to survive so it denies them critical care yet they aren't on the extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 list.
Terminally ill & permanently housebound people must be added to the COVID-19 extremely vulnerable list.
