Closed petition Close UK airports for two months every year

In the light of the clear benefits to the environment revealed by the current coronavirus lockdown to prohibit air travel to and from the UK for two months every year.

To give nature a break from human activity which is damaging to the environment; to acknowledge the negative impact air travel has on the environment; to encourage other ways of global contact; to begin promoting clean air; to recognise that humans are part of nature and not separate from it; to create a cleaner place for all species to co-exist; to recognise the damage already inflicted upon the earth by human activity and to set an example to encourage ongoing support for environmental change.
