Closed Make it a legal requirement for ALL cyclists to wear a helmet.

It should be a legal requirement that all cyclists, of all ages, should need to wear a helmet- especially when cycling on roads and pavements.

One study found that wearing a helmet can reduce the risk of a serious head injury by nearly 70% and can reduce the chance of a fatal head injury by 65%.

In this current climate where covid 19 is requiring all critical care beds, wearing a helmet is especially important to reduce the strain on our NHS critical care beds if cyclists get into accidents on the road.
