There is increasing awareness of mitochondrial disease, and the importance of early diagnosis and care, yet there is no cure for the disease, and treatment options are limited.

The Government should fund increased research into mitochondrial disease, to learn more about the disease, develop treatment options and hopefully identify a cure.
