Rejected petition Allow driving lessons taught by parents during lockdown

Allow parents or guardians to teach driving lessons during the lockdown period

More details

On the official Government website it states that driving lessons taught by parents are not an essential journey. However, I and many others would argue that in a car, one is not exposed to the outside and is safe as long as the persons remain within the car.

Why was this petition rejected?

We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.

We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.

Since you started this petition, the Government has changed its guidance to allow non-essential travel.

Professional driving lessons were also allowed to resume from 4 July.
