The public has a right to know the basis on which their representatives make decisions. Information they use to make decisions should therefore be available to the public. Any exceptions should have to be justified to a court of law.

The Government represents the electorate and makes decisions on our behalf. Those decisions must be transparent for the public to be able to assess government performance.
