STOP DVLA FROM OVERCHARGING ROAD TAX IN UK

Why when taxing a car does the DVLA always win - surely in this day and age the DVLA could pro-rata the tax during the month?

If you tax on the last day of the month you are due to pay for the full month. If you sell a car on the first of the month, you don’t get any of your tax refunded for that whole month.

In an ideal world you could sell a car on the last day of the month and buy on the first but this will never happen.

I want the UK Government to change this system of always charging drivers the most amount of tax and to run a fair system.
