Rejected petition Provide all key workers with a Christmas bonus

During the pandemic key workers have been putting their lives on the line while being at the forefront of the news, because of this they've received universal praise via weekly applause. They should receive something more meaningful for their efforts - without which we'd be in a much worse place.

There have been many fund raising events happening for key workers, such as Captain Tom's magnificent £30M+ towards the NHS, however NHS staff only make up a portion of government designated key workers that have helped everyone in this crisis. From supermarket staff to police, volunteering scientists to care home nurses - everyone who has helped the country deserves more recognition than a little clap on a Thursday.
