Any taxi\minicab that is wheelchair accessible should be able to charge VAT at zero rate. This would allow these businesses to claim back VAT on fuel purchases providing essential relief in the current climate. To prevent just anyone registering their vehicle as private hire this measure should be limited to wheelchair accessible vehicles only. This measure already exists for passenger vehicles carrying not less than 10 passengers.
