Closed Fund paid placements for all veterinary nurses

The Government should provide funding to make it standard practice to pay veterinary nurses for their valuable time in placement.

Veterinary nurses have a suicide rate almost four times higher than the national average. Students often struggle working full time unpaid, with most having to work a second job just to be able to afford completing

a mandatory part of the degree. Funding placements could help reduce mental health problems among veterinary nursing students.
