Rejected petition Reduce University fee's for the First term

At this point in time, Universities are still going to charge students for the whole first year. It is unfair that University students are going to be taught on-line for the First term and still have to pay for the full amount.

More details

Students being taught on-line has an negative effect on student learning. They do not get the full tuition they would if they attended their physical lectures. The government should either:
1. Reduce Uni fee's for the First term
2. Open up Universities the same time school's open.
University Students' education is as important, if not more important than lower level education so why should Universities fully open at a later date than other education levels?

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The fees universities charge are a matter for individual universities, and not the Government or House of Commons.

If your university course is affected by coronavirus in the next academic year, you could start a petition calling on the Government to reimburse all or part of your tuition fees.
