Rejected petition Autoglass radio advertisement

More details

The banning of the Autoglass advert on commercial radio stations , it is on every 10 minutes and it is doing my head in, There should be a limit on how many times it is broadcast, especially with some dork called Gavin whining on about the same chipped windscreen over and over again. I now have to turn these radio stations off..
Which is a pity as some play quite good music.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Advertising in the UK is controlled through a system of co-regulation and self-regulation, which is administered by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). This regulatory system is independent of Government and is ultimately responsible for setting the standards in advertising.

The ASA regulates advertising in all media and they ensure that advertisements, wherever they appear, comply, in full, with the requirements of the UK advertising codes – in particular that they are legal, decent, honest and truthful.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
